What was the highlight of Hotel Bellavista
Great little onsite restaurant. Tired hotel facility.
The little restaurant has some of the best typical food (ie, all the restaurants in Colombia offer pretty much the same menu) and at a great price. I ate there twice and would again. It's truly like the Marigold hotel. Given the pricing, it's a great value for the money. I just wouldn't choose to stay there again.
With the pricing, you don't expect opulence, but the hotel is in real need of maintenance. It's tough to keep a place looking really clean when it's so old. The location is really close to the historical center and the beaches, but you really can't walk safely around the neighborhood according to the owner herself. So, I wouldn't say not to stay there if you're a couple of people or men, but as a single woman, I would definitely not stay. Don't expect it to be fancy. It's more like a rundown hostel. Throughout much of Colombia, there's no hot water, and that's regretfully typical and no reflection on this property in particular.

No lo recomiendo
Muy molesta con la atención prestada en este hotel. Al hacer la reserva dice que se puede hacer el cargo la tarjeta de crédito. De hecho en la información de pago muestra que tipos de tarjeta acepta. Al momento de salir dicen que ellos no aceptan pago en tarjeta. El día que llegué pregunté si ya se había hecho el cargo a la tarjeta y el empleado me dice que no. Entonces le dije que si podía pagar en efectivo y me dice que no me preocupe. Cuando quiero verificar hoy en la mañana está un señor que un celador nocturno y que no maneja información de medios de pago. Al salir mi familia me dicen que no lo pueden cargar a la tarjeta. Entonces a correr se dijo a buscar con hacerles una transferencia para que pudieran salir de hotel. Por otro lado quiero expresar que los abanicos de la habitación estaban llenos de polvo, se notaba que hacían meses ni los limpiaban. Mi hermano al día siguiente amaneció con congestión nasal. En concluisón no lo recomiendo.

No muy placentera.
Las instalaciones son bastante antiguas, las puertas se cierran con candado y los baños necesitan remodelación.
Las condiciones del baño son casi precarias, fue lo que más me disgustó de este lugar.
